Approximately 1.2 million children experience divorce each year in the United States. It is estimated that approximately 10% of all divorces involve time sharing disputes. This presents not only a burden on the court but also can have an adverse emotional and economic impact on all parties involved. Results from research studies suggest that the child’s successful adjustment to divorce increases if the parents engage in cooperative parenting following their separation.
